Meet The Staff
Julie is a prized member of our team and is extremely committed to the dental profession. She joined Cornerstone Family Dentistry in 1980, after completing the Dental Assisting program at Aristotle College. Julie has been in the dental field for over 30 years and has contributed to just about every aspect of dentistry from assisting, to consulting. She has the flexibility, personality, and knowledge to make your dental experience pleasant.
Native to Indiana, Julie and her family currently reside in Indianapolis. She is a proud mom of a beautiful daughter, Christina, who enjoys tennis as much as Julie. When not in the tennis stands, or traveling, Julie is dressed in blue cheering on the Indianapolis Colts.
Rachel graduated from Kaplan College in 2011 as a certified dental assistant, however, she quickly moved to the front office learning all she could of the business aspect of dentistry. She joined Cornerstone Family Dentistry in 2017 and enthusiastically works to help all patients overcome any obstacles that may prevent them from getting the treatment they need and deserve. She assists in explaining and reviewing treatment and finances with patients. Rachel will help coordinate and explain any concerns about insurance issues, from getting you scheduled to knowing all your insurance benefits, to coming up with a treatment plan that works for you, Rachel works hard behind the scenes to make sure your visit to the dentist goes smoothly.
Outside of work Rachel loves to spend time with her daughter Kaydence and dog Buddy. She enjoys spending time reading and spending time outside in nature taking walks, gardening, camping and spending as much time with her family as possible.
Kyle is one of the skilled and knowledgeable dental hygienists at Cornerstone Family Dentistry, and has been part of our team since 2002. She began working in the dental field in 1969 as a dental assistant then continued her dental education at Tarrant County College in Hurst, Texas. She is a gentle and compassionate hygienist who makes her patient’s oral health a priority. She is passionate about educating her patients regarding their oral health and is dedicated to making sure her patients achieve and maintain healthy beautiful smiles for a lifetime.
Born and raised in Indiana, Kyle married her high school sweetheart Tom, who invented and patented a rescue tool that together they manufacture and distribute throughout the world. They have 2 daughters, 8 grandchildren, and Maggie their beloved Harley riding pooch. When Kyle is not working, or camping she’s involved as A District Director Of Sons & Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors in honor of her father, and other Pearl Harbor survivors.
Karen graduated from IU School of Dentistry in 1987, and has been with Cornerstone Family Dentistry since 2001. What she enjoys most about being part of Cornerstone Family Dentistry is the constant interaction with our patients and being able to provide the most up to date care possible. As a dental hygienist her goal is to treat every patient as an individual and to seek success in their appropriate treatment.
Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband Troy, her 3 children, her grandson, and her two dogs. Karen and her family spend a lot of time four wheeling together, as well as Karen is an avid moviegoer with her youngest child, Tyler.
Carly, a Licensed Dental Hygienist, attended college at IU South Bend and graduated in 2008 with her associates in science specializing in dental hygiene. She has worked for Cornerstone Family Dentistry since 2010.
Growing up, Carly always found going to the dentist interesting and fun. She has found such a passion in dentistry. Carly loves to continue to learn about dentistry as it evolves. Her favorite part of the job is interacting with patients and helping to design a treatment plan for each patient’s individual needs.
Outside of the office Carly loves spending time with her 2 children and husband. They enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking and visiting parks.
Shannon first attended IUPUI for general studies and then became interested in Dental Assisting. She graduated from the Dental Assisting program at Walker Career Center in 1997. She has been with Cornerstone Family Dentistry since 2008.
Shannon takes pride in providing her patients a relaxed and comfortable environment so they always have a positive dental experience. The most rewarding part of her day is seeing a patient with a beautiful smile and educating patients about dental care.
In her spare time she enjoys playing cards, cheering on the Colts, and movies with family, friends, and of course her dogs: Ralphie, Oliver, and TedLee.
